or even give me some idea on slow cooking cooking apples?! i've been given a big bag full by a work colleague and would like to slow cook them for pie filling?

i have done a search and its going to take me days to trawl the results! :o

    Hi merlin,

    I've never cooked apples in the slow cooker, I just peel, slice and pop into a pan with a tiny bit of water and sugar and simmer.

    The only link I can find is this one where D&DD has posted a link that might help: Can I cook apples in the slow cooker?

    oooo i have bookmarked the link from D&DD - loads of stuff in there - funny though i was earlier reading the impossible pie thread, and there's an apple one for the slow cooker in that link!
