I would say its definetly a spoof email, whatever you do dont click on any links, to make sure i would phone aol to confirm it0 -
Don't feed the troll..This thing we call failure is not falling down but staying down :beer:0

I got this email a couple of days ago, and while I was 99% sure it was spam/phishing I gave them a phone call to check it out as the email did look very authentic.
Sure enough it was bogus, but I was assured the fraud team were aware of this email and were working to stop it happening again (whatever that means...)
So OP, do nothing, delete the email and do not click any of the links.
It's only a game

You really need to inform your bank, so they can change your card details and if necessary a flag on your bank account.
StebizAsk me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
If you just replied to the email. all that will happen is they will spam you more often as you have confirmed your email is active. If you actually gave them account details, you need to get them changed immediately. Call your abnk straight away.
No genuine company sends out emails asking for account details or asks for payments for things which are free. Never reply to these requests. Also a genuine company would know your name (not 'dear valued member') and probably quote your account number. Never follow links from email, always type website addresses manually - links can be made to look genuine and take you to a cloned site.
Basically if the content of an email is unexpected, or odd, it's probably a scam.0 -
If it were genuine they would know your name. Seems lately the 1st you will know if they are going to take money is when you see your bank statement.
They will say they contacted you, but they wont have..0
