Buying contact lens from the USA/Europe: Special Feedback Area

www.lensfinder.co.uk is a comparison site and will give you a list of websites. From there, I went to www.feelgoodcontacts.com (they came out cheapest when searched for Acuvue2.

To put this in perspective, I priced up with 2 x suppliers I've used previously and 3 x suppliers I've not used, or they were mentioned in this thread. I chose 8 x boxes of Acuvue2 from each supplier.

www.lensway.co.uk * £19.89/box (coastalcontacts.co.uk) - £159.12
www.lensmart.com * $16.99/box - $141.90 USD (£92.41) (excl import duty VAT)
www.visiondirect.co.uk £14.50/box - £116
www.aclens.com $15.95/box - $142.55 USD (£92.78) (excl import duty VAT)

So Lensmart are cheapest at today's exchange rates, per box. That price of $141.90 includes a $16 discount for buying 8 x boxes and includes shipping at $19.90 plus a processing fee of $1.99 but there's every likelihood that at least 20% will be added to the £92.41 which adds a further £18, giving a least £110.

I also bought some cleanser from feelgoodcontacts to take me over £100 and give me free shipping and also, to take me over £100 purchase price so I'm covered by my credit card company in the event the company goes bust/doesn't ship etc. etc. and used an Amex cashback card to get 1.5% off the price.

I use them too they are fantastic.. Getlenses.nl is the same company but shipped to the UK from Netherlands so no need for recent prescription if you are happy with your current one. Also free shipping over £30 and they are always sending me codes for money off! Currently 30% off at the moment I think!
