Make Stick Deodorants last longer

Sorry if this has already been posted - I did a search and couldn't find any posts about it.
Save your empty or broken stick deodorants (they always seem to come off in a big hunk when you get near the end!) You can scrape out the deodorant bits from the holder, put them in a microwave safe jug, and heat them until they melt. (55 sec. in my micro)
You can then pour the liquid back into the plastic stick holder, (make sure it is wound as low as it will go) put on the lid and leave somewhere cool to harden up again.
The jug that you use can get a bit manky - I keep one just for this purpose.
I have never had a problem mixing different deodorants, but I am not sensitive either.

good tip.
I do the same thing with lipsticks, concealers, foundation sticks etc as i can never get a colour to match perfectly so i melt and blend. It does help that i know what im doing like. If im doing the make up on someone for a photo shoot i often have to try to melt and blend as i work. often hard to do with nothing more than a kettle!0 -
I would say thanks for the great tip but the thanks button has disappeared.
You can do something similar with old lipsticks.

I always scrape out the end bits into an empty lip balm pot, and just use it by applying with my thumb nail. I don't mess around with melting and re-setting it. I usually get up to an extra week's worth just from the bits that come from inside the holder thingy.
A tiny jar of this is ideal for weekend trips too - saves packing space and weight, which is a bonus if travelling by train.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
