co op account ?

I was declared BR on 28th august I had a co op account which had a cheque book and £200 overdraft facility on the day of BR i realised I had to inform the co op about the account. They told me they would close it and that I could open a new basic account.I still havent received details of new account and im beginning to worry now because my wages need to be paid into another account soon.Should I contact the co op and see what the delay is on sending new details or does it take this long to sort things?

Hi Devona, did you go through process of applying for the cashminder account? Give them a call and chase it up, doesn't usually take this long. Good luck.

Yes I went through the process of opening basic account and the guy said I had been accepted and they would send details ,think I will chase them up. I thought maybe it was taking longer because the monday after my BR hearing it was a bank holiday.

They were very slow with me but worth chasing up, also we gave our branch a call and spoke to the advisor who set it up who could give us our account number over the phone to set up direct debits etc.
