Boden Alternatives?

I've fallen in love with Boden clothes but just can't bring myself to spend the money! I've tried bidding for some on eBay but keep getting outbid at the last moment:mad:. So my questions are
Is there somewhere else that has as nice clothes as Boden but at a cheaper price?
Should I just bite the bullet and get what I want from the website? I know theres 10% discount floating around atm but that still isn't a lot for a £70+ dress! I guess I'm asking are they quality clothes and therefore worth the price?

Boden clothes last for EVER. They are very good quality. I know what you mean abou tprioce but if there's something you want it will last longer than two cheaper dressses.

Also they have very good resale value on ebay so if yuo get bored you can resell easily.

One tip - they measure about a size bigger, so if you're a 12 you will probably need a Boden 10.

Am not a boden wearer but do believ the phrase "you get what you pay for" applies to many brands- it would appear Boden is one of them!

I get alot of stuff from TKMaxx and Ebay and I'm lucky to have studied Textiles and been able to become familiar with the things to look/feel for in terms of quality. Not saying I'm a pro or expert but if you've come across any clothing which ends up falling apart in the wash or washing strangly, try to keep tabs of it all- I used to keep a log book (sad I know!) but so I knew what to look out for. Often some of the slinkier feeling fabrics can end up falling apart in the wash soon after. Substantial stuff just has a different feel. cheaper stuff can be good, but wont last you very long before it becomes miss shaped, falls apart of just greys and bobbles in mid wear. My pet hates for doing this are Tesco clothing, Peacocks, River Island and Mango.

I'd say save up and get yourself something which is a classic and you really love. But if your desperate for a quick fix, Primark is ok and hey, you can cut up the fabric and use it for dusting after its grown/shrunk/bobbled/faded in the wash!
