Cheapest and Best Sky+ Offer - Moving Home

I currently have Sky+ installed and it is coming to the end of my contract period and i am now moving house in june hopefully.

What's the best thing to do, pay £40 i belive to get it moved, or cancell my current subscription and get a new one for my new house.

Will i be able to get Free Sky+ Box and installation, with half or free rental for 3 months?

Please advice?

I am currently on the Full Family package @ £21.99/m and thats all i need as i use the Free Rental Codes for my watching Movies. ;)

Be careful as Sky are pretty hot on people joining as new customers when moving home.
Best thing to do is cancel your subscription at your old address and if you have another adult living with you take out the subscription in their name - as obviously they will be the "new" customer. A lot of friends have done this when they have moved, ie. taken out in wife's name where previously it was the husband on the account, or even elder children. Then you can get Sky+ installed with the very best offer on the market at present.

Also, if you get your wife to sign up via Quidco or Rpoints you should get some cashback as well.

I paid the £40 last October when i moved. But once the engineer came round to put up new dish I was told they wasn't insured to install above a glass roof conservatory ( outside installation ). So I cancelled, got £40 back etc. But I still had to pay for 1 months notice to leave them  even though they wouldn't put a dish up for me   .

Have now decided to get an independant company to install new dish but I have to pay for everything, new dish, new upgrade to Sky Plus etc..
They don't consider me as a new customer because basically my new details were used when moving. I think the main detail they use to check if you are a new customer is your phone number.
I was even told that getting a new box and dish from them could be considered as fraud as i've had a set before !!!!!:rotfl:

I should have cancelled a month before moving then ordered a new package.

I wish there was an alternative to Sky. Although I think the service is great until you need help from them.

So what the best deal available then ?
The only one I can see is the 3 months half price, but you still have to pay £98 or so to get the thing installed. Around Christmas this was free :-(
I was going to wait for Sky HD - but at £300 (& another £10 a month), they can forget that. I'm guessing this will go down in price after the World Cup as I'm sure they're banking on people buying SkyHD to watch it in HD.
