so annoyed with Abbey

Sorry I need to let off steam but Abbey are really getting to me now
I've just received the 4th letter from them saying that they've heard nothing from CCCS with a proposal & that there is £875.85 outstanding + pending charges  I have just made my 3rd payment on my dmp & they would've received 2 of them so I can't understand it.
Last time they sent a letter I rang CCCS & they said they would send them another proposal & also rang Abbey to tell them. Also asked about cancelling the ppi on the loan which amounts to £5408.64 they said just send the request in writing, so I did & they wrote back saying following a change in policy we cannot cancel the ppi
Now forwarded their letter to CCCS to see if they can help, but I don't know why they keep saying they haven't heard anything?
The loan was originally for £9750 with ppi & interest it amounts to £21185 on my CCCS balance which is now just under £32000 in total.
Another of my creditors Black Horse have been brilliant & stopped the interest & cancelled the ppi & have been very understanding of the situation.
I really feel like whats the point today, I'm really trying to pay back what I owe & not go bankrupt like CCCS first advised but its so frustrating dealing with some people & I don't seem to be getting anywhere with them at the moment.
Sorry for the rant.

We started our DMP last November and the same thing happened to us, the CCCS sent SOA's and offers of payment off at least twice to LLoyds TSB ( I think) but they just kept saying it hadn't been received. I have no doubt the CCCS were doing it, it's just it was either being "lost" or ignored at the other end. We also got calls from them saying they would accept the reduced payment offered by us by it would be sooo much easier for us to do it directly with Lloyds TSB rather than through the CCCS. We stuck to our guns however and insisted it be through the CCCS.
What I eventually did was contact Lloyds TSB and ask for a name the paperwork should be sent to and the exact address. Once it had a name on it seemed to work.
It did take a while for things to get sorted out but all seems to be well now and I can assure you that it will get better. Particularly when you see your CCCS statements coming through and you can see you're making headway.
Good luck, don't let them get you down.

Thanks Mimi, I'm going to ring Abbey now & do what you suggest & try to get a name & address from them for CCCS to contact them with. Its good to hear that you managed to sort it out & your dmp is going well now
Feel a bit better now though I'm still annoyed that they changed their minds about cancelling the ppi, hopefully CCCS will sort it out in time.
Made my first increased payment this week so I'm looking forward to seeing it on the statement later in the month & it might seem like I'm making more progress!
Well done for sticking to your guns, I had similar phonecalls from HFC but I think they've got the message now that I'm only paying them through CCCS.
