Completed tax form online, what now?

in Cutting tax
I completed my tax return online. The software calculated that I owe money to the Inland Revenue. However, I selected the option to have that taken through my tax code. Does that mean that they will collect through my employer, or should I send payment to them myself?

I think you've answered your own question.
If you tick the box to have it collected through your tax code, they will alter your tax code for NEXT tax year.
So you won't pay anything until April.
And they'll tell your employer - you don't have to do anything. You will get a notice of tax coding yourself which will simultaneously be sent to your employer.0 -
Thanks for your help MarkyMarkD.

Just double-checking :-[[interpreneur]0
