I am after some advice, I enrolled on a course for a law degree with open university and was paying by there student account, which meant i had to sign a crfedit agreement. All this sounds fine but i was not well at the time as i have some mental health problem and i was not well at the time and entered into this agreement even though i never intended to take the course, and if you knew me you would know that i would never of tried to do a law degree.
Thecourse started and i toke no part in the course but the bills started but due to my ill health i distroyed these and also the ccj letter, now i am getting letters demainding payment of £50 a month as per the judgement, but i can not afford this i am still not well and although i am slightly better i am still on dla and income support. I need help as id ont know how to procedd with this i never had any intention of doing a law degree and even if i did there is no way i could of taken on that how i am now. I would be very thankful of anyone who was able to offer me any help

Sorry to hear about your health problems.
I have no experience with this but your first step might be to talk to the citizen advice bureau and your doctor. Obviously where you stand will depend on your diagnosis but I have read some threads on here whereby those suffering with bipolar have had letters etc from their doctors which have been taken into account.
If it is at all possible to make this go away I imagine there will need to be something formal from your doctor or similar confirming your mental health problem etc. Citizens advice will probably be able to advise you further on this.
If it turns out that you have to pay the CCJ you could apply to the court to see if you can have the payment level of the CCJ reassessed so that it is affordable for you.
Hope you get things sorted and feel better soon.0
