I'm surprised at that. Did you have a subject where there is a shortage of teachers or had you applied to a school where you were known?Stercus accidit0 -

Your post was neither constructive or helpful to the original OP, and its a good thing you didn't give any advise on finding jobs in NI if you think the only port of call is the job centre!!0 -

Im not in the buisness of giving advice.just speak from long experience.im no scientist just a lorry driver trying to get a living.30 years experience clean class one licence full adr.and digital taco card.(if you know anything about transport you will know what these are.)tried the usual route of phoning emailing and going in person to firms.(see my life doesnt stop at the job centre)but at the very few jobs on offer Im offered £5.60 per hour I was earning that 20 years ago...and im told if I dont want it theres plenty out there( immigrants) who will work for that.may not have a licence but hey who asks? until the crash then they go back home...Id love to start back work tomorrow but when im expected to travel perhaps 20 or 30 miles to get there would you run a car tax insurance petrol etc for £5.60 an hour?I think not.perhaps your a malone road mse user with nothing better to do until the mercedes is serviced?:rolleyes:0 -
As commented before, the question of "are there any jobs in Northen Ireland" seems a bit too general. There's loads of jobs in Northern Ireland. there's hundreds advertised on all the websites like NIjobs etc.... but it's like everything... supply & demand..... If your a plumber or brickey or spark I suppose there are very few jobs at the moment due to the downturn in construction. If your a gynocologist, I'm sure you don't have a problem (I believe there's a shortage at the moment. It's not that there are no jobs per say... its that there are no or few jobs available in a particular sector or industry.... I've seen loads of adverts for weekend shopworkers in shop windows... but it's more a question of would you do that job (£5.60/hr for 20 hrs a week?????) or is it worth you doing it???.... Probably in some cases get more from benifits.
What industries do those who are unemployrd work in???? I'm a qualified mechanical Engineer so I'm not going to be applying for an HR job or Nursing job or anything much outside the mechanical engineering field for that matter...
You need to be a bit more specific.....0 -
I've been on the look out for a while now, I'm in the Mid Ulster area, the only things on offer seem to be aimed at ladies, I.E working in kitchen, waitresses, pure pathetic reallyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
