IVA, but still being chased

We have entered into an IVA and have been in it for nearly a year now. The trouble is Halifax have 'sold' our debt to a recovery company who are chasing us and threatening CCJ's if we don't pay. We have phoned them and told them that we are in an IVA, but they either don't understand or don't care. We have had final red letter now before court action. What should we do? The whole point of doing the IVA was so that we wouldn't get chased like this any more, I find it really upsetting and stressful.

Flis,
if you read some of the other threads, this is a fairly standard debt recovery agency plan.
Write to them and tell them you do not want any phone calls and will consider that harrassment.
Seek guidance from your IVA practitioner. They may be able to write another letter to Halifax for you.
If you keep making the agreed repayments, you will be ok.Debt free 4th April 2007.

(Assuming this debt was definitely included in your IVA) The Supervisor of your IVA should contact the debt collection agency on your behalf, proving that you are now in an IVA and insisting that they cease all communication as the IVA is a legally binding agreement in which the terms and conditions clearly state they must communicate via your Insolvency Practitioner.
Call your IP now - they should sort it all out for you?
All the best
