Argos Trial Furniture Display Store

Working for Argos, I know people always have questions about home delivery furniture, about the colours and fabrics etc. Argos are looking to sort this out.
The Cardiff Bay store is to be refitted within the next two months to contain 32 room sets of home delivery furniture, bedrooms, living rooms, dining sets etc. These will contain several items of furniture with swatches of fabric and wood panels to check out the colours and materials to give people a better idea before they buy, which methinks will save a lot of Argos Direct refunds and returns. Thats all the info I have on it at the moment but expecting to attend a meeting on it shortly so can fill in some more gaps then.

if the trial is successful (i.e. cardiffs Argos direct furniture sales go up a lot) then they will think about rolling it out. However what would be displayed would depend on how much space there is on the salesfloors as most high street / shopping complex argos's tend to have small shopfloors. Only standalone retail parks would have the space needed.
(Thurrock is also running various display trials if any bods want to see what style argos might evolve into next)
Personally i think it's a shame that they cut some of the shopfloors down when they fired all the sales managers.
Bring Back Sales Managers we miss them!
