Hi my situation is that i met my partner 3 1/2 years ago, she had four children form 2 previous relationships 3 from marriage and 1 from a relationship between marriage breakup and my self, iwe have since had a child ourselves.
All the children live with us and i love and cherish my 4 sep children as my own. the first 3 childrens dad has barely bothered with them and since march not at all. our lad from the other relationship isnt too bad in seeing him but always at his conveniance.
AAny way to the point, originally we were receiving some maintenance from them but not as much as we shiuld have as both their bosses were assisting them in the receipt of their wages as to make their contributions as small as poss. both alresdy owed my partner arrers prior to me coming allong but those will be due to the SoS as she was on IS or such like prior to me, since i have been along will any monies built up in arrers be owed to us? the payments have never been regular and they have both missed many of them and since about feb this year we have received nothing as they have not been working. the last 6 weekd we have been receiving a payment of £10 every 2 weeks not sure who from. During this period their not wotking do the arrears continue to build up? Also after the children reach the age of 16,(oldest is 14) do the csa continue to seek the arrears off the father as they will still be owed to us i assume?
Any help as always greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

If the fathers are on IS then you will only get about £5 a week from their benefit. As for the rest you will have to chase the CSA for that, and they should try to get it for you.0

If the cases have been reassessed to take note of their unemployment, then as Blob says, you would be getting £10 per fortnight (looks like one at least has been reassessed). If the case has not been reassessed, then arrears would be building up. Arrears since you got together will be owed to yoou.0
