Free Tesco Clubcard points?
Disillusioned-
Hello,
Sorry if this has been asked before - but is there anything stopping me from buying a couple of bottles of spirits on tesco.com using a 1000 points coupon - and then returning the goods at my local Tesco for a refund. If I do this, will I lose the points? - Trying to accumulate the airmiles...
Thanks!

I took 5 bottles of wine back that I'd got online with the 1200 extra points.
I really didn't like the wine, it was from my local branch via home delivery.
They changed it at CS desk for more suitable wine to the same value.
However, when I later read the T&C's it states you can't take ANYTHING back if you got it through web, only groceries.
Guess I was just lucky?

The only way I have had free Tesco clubcard points is when I choose a trolley and discover a receipt that it is barcoded and therefore I can use it to have the points put onto my clubcard. Sometimes I will find them on the floor too, though not very often - but it's free points and every little helps !

i have purchased tesco's nappies before to get the points or money off, and have took them back to the shop saying my son is now dry i nolonger have the reciept but would be happy with tesco vouchers instead of cash.
they were happy to give me a voucher card to do some shopping.
just stick to tesco branded, they will not refuse0 -
I returned a good few cases of wine and got a refund to my credit card as I bought mine for my wedding, and they basically honoured the store sale or return policy uppon production of my receipt. They were grateful that I returned it myself rather than trying to get the delivery driver to come back. Don't think the T&C's have changed since then.LilacLillie wrote:I took 5 bottles of wine back that I'd got online with the 1200 extra points.

If you do this for the purposes of accumulating points, do expect the standard ethics discussion! So many glitches, so little time...0 -

Yeay! I too did this the other day - I found a VERY long receipt in a trolley with a barcode on it and took it customer services and got 147 points credited to my club points account - BONUS!0 -
How does it work to use found receipts? What's the relevance of the barcode? How do you know that they will give you the points0
-
Hello little acorn if there is a barcode at the end of the receipt that means that the customer did not have a clubcard or did not use it. The barcode is there so that when the person takes the receipt to customer services they can scan it and the points will be added to the clubcard that is handed over at the same time as the receipt. Easy points and saves on the litter on the floor too !
