Mentioned posting this in a a couple of other threads - here it is guys. Hope it helps. No way as versatile as MS Money or other commercial packages, but it's free and up for grabs if you can make use of it.
Sorry the instructions ramble on for a bit, but then again thats me all over.
Any feedback welcome!
Cheers

Ok, you should be able to follow this link and download the sheets by clicking on "GPFinanceSheets.zip". Contains the actual sheets (Excel format) and the instruction guide (word format)
http://www.flamingmango.com/tempdump/
This is just a sheet I used to keep an eye on all my spending over the past couple of years, so that I could see exactly how much was coming in and how much was going out. It's very primitive, and if you already have something like MS Money then don't even bother with it - MS Money is probably miles better (but this is FREE!!!). I started the instructions thinking it would take a few pages but I got a bad case of verbal diarrohea...
This is a tidied up version of the sheets I used, so there may be a few errors in it. If there are, please send me a private message and I'll sort them out. Any grammatical errors or typos in the word document will be sorted out too.
It helped me focus on the debts because I was able to see exactly how much of my salary I had left each month, and could remind me of the big pointless purchases I had made.
I'm just doing this because the notes of support I've received over the past couple of days have REALLY boosted my self esteem and made me realise I'm not the only one in the same boat. I'd like to try and give a little bit back out there to everyone else in the same position.
Again any feedback for improvements is welcome guys. please enjoy.

Grey Pilgrim that's great!
I think the sheets are really useful and you've explained it all very well, so don't worry about that!
I won't use your sheets at the moment, I have a very simple spreadsheet which serves my purpose - mainly as a record and analysis of spending (rather than money in/bank balances aswell).
But reading your explanation has taught me some things I didn't know about Excel which is great - always keen to learn stuff! I'm off to make my sheets look a bit more swish (some different coloured sections are required now I feel :rotfl: ) and get me some of those groovy graphs!!
Being obsessive about recording things is becoming fun  :rotfl:

Well, if I can share the joys of a simple Excel conditional IF statement
=IF(A6="", "", (B2-C6-D6+E6))
then I guess my work here is done....:T0 -
Thank you so much Grey Pilgrim, this is exactly what I've been looking for.:T0
