Cyberlink Powercinema 3-Please help

I recently bought a new PC from Aldi and it came with a digital (DVB) TV capture card. It comes with Cyber link PowerCinema 3 as the software to record the TV and save as files.
When I tune in the DVB (freeview digital) channels, there are only a few (compared to all of them when I plug the same aerial into my freeview digital TV box)
Also, when I play the few the digital channels, they're jumpy and the audio jumps and squeaks, but this isn't the case when I record in analogue.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

No reliance should be placed on the above.

Try updating the software/drivers. If that doesn't work then I would remove the software via uninstall/control panel, power down and then remove the card. Power up. Make sure all else is working ok. Power down again. Put the card back again making sure it is seated correctly. Windows should try nto install. Put in the correct installation CD and install.
Of course, doing this may well invalidate your warentee! It could also be that your card is faulty. Are you using the same arial connection/wire as the standard freeview box? Check in Task Manager to see if anything is hogging resources. Have youn installed anything that could be causing a conflict? Have you nsearched web for clues about problems with the card you have?0 -
The original software supplied with the PC did not work correctly with the UK's digital TV system and only tuned in a few channels. Medion has recently posted a patch on its Web site to correct this problem. But this patch is regarded as "beta" software and a final version is expected to be posted next week.
Medion's Web site is at https://www.medion.co.uk
There is an active forum edvoted to this PC at http://adslweb.co.uk/medion/toast.asp?sub=show&action=topics&fid=2Nice to save.0 -
Thanks guys for your comments. Walpurgis seems to have sent me in the right direction and now I have digital tv for the first time on my pc. Thanks again..........No reliance should be placed on the above.0

I bought Aldi's Medion 8383 too. Unfortunately, there seem to be quite a few problems with this pc... which I've had the misfortune to experience. Apart from the issue with PowerCinema many people have problems with a very noisy fan and overheating. Also, if you ever uninstall MS AutoRoute, you'll find out that you can't reinstall it because it's not on the MS Works DVD (even though it says it is on the cover and on the box the PC came with). Apparently Medion know that they've sent out faulty DVDs but you'll have to take the risk of sending back your bad copy before they'll send you a good one.
Luckily it seems that a software patch for PowerCinema has become available within the past couple of days.

There's a link on the forum to the update patch.
Hope this helps!0
