Where to get a Renault Laguna Car Key?

Anyone know any option of getting a new Laguna Key Card. Mine has stopped locking, it will still unlock and I can still drive the car but just cant lock it. Renault want over £120+vat for a new one.

I have seen a few sites that say they can repair them but it my only key so cant send it away.

Anyone any ideas on how to get my hands on a new one or get this one fixed.

Its a 2004 Laguna and im in Newtownbbey.

Thanks

I have a similar problem with a Toyota Key - I have only the one and it will cost £140+vat for a spare from Toyota.

I lost my only key in a Forest with my pervious car 2003 Toyota it cost me £560 to get Toyota to tow car to dealers, replace the locks, brain and re-programme car and keys etc. Believe me I phoned every lock smith to find a cheaper option.

Check if your car insurance has the key lost/damaged extra on the policy - Open and Direct do it for £12 extra a year - they could have included it on your policy without you realising.

I know you might have tried it but. Have you tried changing the battery?
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I have a scenic with same key card and you can pull out the manual key from your key card to lock and unlock the car from the passenger door. Thankfully I got 2 key cards with my car so if 1 fails I have a backup, £120 + VAT does seem rather steep for a new one:o
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

Only got the 1 key when i bought iy second hand, and for some reason the manual key's not working, it turns it but wont lock or unlock it. I just had to bite the bullet and ordered one from Renault but it takes a week to get here.
