Epson printer won't print in all colours

Have an Epson Stylus C66. Have replaced the cartridges with non OEM and would only print black and blue. Replaced with genuine Epson and still have the same problem. Have nozzle checked and cleaned heads without success. Any ideas?

I had this problem on my lexmark, I did everything I could, tried it on another pc, change cartridge, cleaned everything etc. I had to buy a new printer in the end.

Download this program which is better than the one that Epson provide.

Had the same problem with two Epson printers one of which was the C66, they suffer from nozzle clog caused by insufficient use, the final solution was the dustbin.Once clogged thats it Im afraid. Changed over to Canon coz they use a different system and bought their cheapest i250 model, a brilliant little printer which has never let me down it's photo prints are excellent and the carts are cheap ( EBUYER). for me Epson printers were a big let down.

I'd try expressos tip to reset the counters, and do diags. Also check that there isn't a sponge full of ink clocked up somewhere in the innards - not sure if this applies to epsons, but some printers stop working when the sponge gets gunged up.

I have an Epson Photo 830 that constantly needs its heads cleaning. I end up spraying Isopropyl Alcohol on the heads prior to running a cleaning cycle - that tends to sort it out.

I think I got my 400ml can for about £5 from Farnells http://www.farnell.com/

    Cheers, Steve.
