I got my hubby a cracking wee projection keyring from ebay, and it works a treat, shows the time, press a button and shows the date too!think it cost about £2 including P&P.

Argos have got loads of cheap alarm clocks in their latest catalogue. We have got 2 in our bedroom...one for seeing the time without having to turn on the light which has a radio for hubby and one we got as a wedding present for the alarm as I don't like to be woken by the radio.
The one we use for seeing time in the dark is number 512/5863 and costs £8.99. Its quite neat looking and not too big, takes awhile to get used to the brighness of the numbers though.
The one we use for the alarm is radio controlled which means you never have to change the time when the clocks go forward/back as it does it for you.

Their cheapest projection clock is £14.99 and is radio controlled too.
