Thanks again....I turns out I can write off a massive amount of debt as a result of this if no ccj in place which I am pretty sure its not....Im talking about £18000+ It's possible that i might yet be able to write off another £8000+ in the next 6 months as well.
To anyone else who reads this....Ignoring your debts does not normally make them go away!!!!!!
All I have to do now is apply for a copy of the CCA on the Link & Cabot debts i have and Im fairly certain I'll be a further £2300 less in debt.
Happy daze.
GOne day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T
Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged.
Or maybe not:mad:0 -
hi
i have read the standard template and the first line states
"I do not acknowledge any debt to your company."
Do i still include this line if i am still paying the creditors?
Thanks

Yes, it's best to just stick to the template. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500

I was advised to wait until my debt was sold to a debt collector and then pay them £1 per month whilst deciding whether to go bankrupt or not. After reading these posts about CCA's I think I might do that and ask for CCA. Any advice please? How would this be registered on my credit file? I am just trying to make the right decision for myself and family after being totally ripped off in my business dealings. I must admit the CCA does feel a bit underhanded. I borrowed the money to pay for debt, which looking back was the wrong thing to do but I was scared. Therefore I do owe the money but I don't have it! Any advise anyone please!

Urbanhippie, it would be best to start your own thread to ask this but in short, you could do a CCA request on any credit card or loan you got before 6th April 2007. If the agreements don't have certain terms on them then they are unenforcable. The creditor may put a default on your account, but other than this there isn't much else they can do if the agreement isn't properly executed. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
