Query about my credit report

Hi all
I got my Experian credit report today and although it doesn't show any problems it does have a record on there under the CIFAS section with the details of the dodgy landlord of one of the flats in my block. The trouble is, he's nothing to do with our flat, he doesn't even live here (there are five flats here) but the credit report does not specify which flat he is connected to.
I called Experian and they said it is nothing to worry about as his name would have come up even if they had specified which flat he is connected to. Does this sound right to you all? Do you think it is something I need to be worried about?
Thanks everyone!

Yes is quite normal for a CIFAS flag to be added if any dubious activity is suspected.
It is important to note that this will not effect your own credit worthiness, it is purely a mechanism to force manual checking of any credit application to protect your own interests as much as the lenders:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks file_wizzard. That's pretty much what Experian said as well. Thanks for your help.Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96
