reclaiming pension

i have just left a job in which i contirbuted to my own pension out of my wages, the job did not contribute anything to this pension, am i able to reclaim this pension as i could really use the money right now.

Assuming it's a personal pension then no - you can't access it till age 55 ( or 50 till April 2010 ) and then only 25% as a tax free lump sum.
If it was a final salary pension it depends on how long you contributed to oit.0 -

I'd be amazed if they were running a final salary scheme that the company didn't contribute to. If I were to hazard a guess, it would be a designated stakeholder plan in which case the top point applies.0 -
