    I scored 50%.

I have some pretty strong feelings around the protection of the majority against the malevolent influences of a minority. I also sign up to the right of an individual to exercise their freedom to express themselves.

The part that troubles me is that too many who spout on about their rights want to overlook their responsibilities.

Yes, (lovely to have you back :)). I feel some of that, and something that I can't work out how to say not in an offensive manner right now. :o

    Thank you :D

Dare to go with the offensive - it can't be any worse than lots of other stuff on here. And if it helps you to express yourself ....

P.S. Not the the extent that you risk a ban though. :o

That test oversimplifys things. Should people be controlled like puppets? no, it doesnt work but do I believe in anarchy? no so I doubt Im really 90% liberal tbh

Generally governments are inefficent and failure in a free market is an essential part of its existence and continuation. Ironically its the liberals I would probably blame for stupid pc thinking alot of the time but labour is probably more guility

Right now liberals are the only people with a chancellor who has an economics degree. Pretty simple basic things like that I can agree with, it doesnt take much.
How many mps have been involved in successfully running a business but yet they control an entire country

I might another day. I'm too tired of all the squabbling ATM to throw myself to lions today. :o

This was a surprise to me. I found the test hard, because like most things, my answer was ''It depends'' not ''yes'' or ''no''. But I'm moderately libertarian it turns out.

Edit: I can't remember who here first gave link to the site ..sorry.

    Ha,ha,ha,ha.

I don't know about liberal or illiberal, but that website is certainly illiterate!
And, like most things libertarian, a bit binary in it's thinking.
"Your either with us or against us" sort of thing. We've heared that sort of talk before, and look where it got us.

As we all know, in the real world things are a bit more multi-dimensional than that, with many shades and facets.

A much better test can be taken here:

The questions are a bit more, em, difficult and involving. You might have to think about what your attitude actually is, rather than just jerking your knees like the libertarians want you to.

    n.
    1. One who advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state.
    2. One who believes in free will.

You seem to be mixing up some antonym of Libertarian. Freedom and individual rights are malapropos to serfdom.

    Dear Mr B.S.,

Since Libertarianism is a belief in free will how can you claim that one of the least free countries in the world (as measured by Freedom House) is in any way, shape or form Libertarian?

    Ho ho ho ho,

Answers-dot-com? You should try reading some books, mate.
    Freedom house?
    I love their freedom index.
Is your country 'free' or 'not free'. At least they have the half-way house of 'partly free' LOL.

As far as it goes, Afghanistan ('not free') was, until the western invasion very much 'free', at least according to a prominent English libertarian.

I'm doing this right now, the questions are more difficult and involving, but some seem to me loaded, and I have more shade of grey than four. (and two) and my answer of ''it depends'' is still frustrated where it applies.

But its certinly more invlved and accurate. I think my leaning is ultimately towards a place where multiple choice best fit is considered inaccurate and immoral:D
