Is this strange?

Last month was the first month I haven't made a mortgage payment (was paying reduced rate Apr-July)

I have received regular correspondence from NR about making payments, reminding me when payment due date is nearing etc, and have received regular phone calls whilst the general customer service were awaiting the details from the assistance team to update their records.

Until now. My last payment was due on August 31st, again I received a letter reminding me of the bank holiday and to allow the extra time for payment to go through. Since then nothing. Not a thing. Payment was due a week ago and they are normally **** hot whenever I have paid a day late.

Just wondered whether anyone else had had this strange silence after missing a payment? it's eerily unusual for them in my experience....

Don`t worry Doll...you`ll probably get 3 altogether. NR are hopeless....I last paid March08 & even now get those nicey nice letters asking me if I need a new DDr form to make a payment....words to the effect..`.oh dear Ms **** you seem to have forgotten to pay your payment` etc etc

Occasionally I`ll get one with my arrears balance....telling me they wrote to me last month blah, blah, blah

Their process is very slow...I asked for repo back in Feb & still waiting...thankfully I have now sold the house...I was fed up of waiting!!

I missed that bit, at least that is one thing of the list, at least you will, eventually get a clearer picture where you are

dollparts I have had the same for my OH's creditors for the past 19 months, weekly threats, so predictable you could set a watch by them, then nothing for a month or so, then the cycle starts again, either with the original creditor, or a DCA they have passed it too.

So I would say it was normal:rolleyes:

The shortfall is so scary though!! :eek::eek::eek::eek: just hoping that SL people don`t block sale last minute. Not worth the worry now tbh...I`m damned either way:rolleyes::o

Now your learning;), its hard, i know that, and i have to keep telling myself that so many times a day, and my worries are nothing really now compared to you and others (less than 10k is chicken feed), but the fact is, it is true, there is bug ger all we can do, so there is no point loseing sleep over it:rolleyes:

It's funny, since I have stopped all payments to creditors beginning of Aug, only two have started the love letters. The one that has up til now been the most persistent is the creditor that has NEVER been paid late ever!

The usual suspects are conspicuously quiet......but postman coming tomorrow:eek:
