As you are well aware, ALL the prominent bulls were banned from hpc for being right. No coincidence it happened all on the same day, "night of the long knives" style, when prices started rising markedly.

And I've never been banned from anywhere else, so thats just another baseless accusation from you Geoff.

    You really must try harder.;)

You were banned for being an obsessive, trolling nutter. Obsessive on another level at that. I've noticed your dozens of frenzied comments on some TimesOnline property related articles too. Why would a 40 year old man wish to commit so much time on as many forums as possible pushing a pro-house price inflation agenda?

    :rotfl:

ad hominum attacks from another hpc-er. What a surprise.

As for Times articles? I'm only aware of one, and that wasn't actually me.

It's already been addressed here and on GHPC, but you may have missed it.

FYI, I only post on two forums. Here and GHPC.

Actually, I pretty accurately forecast the size, type and scale of govt intevention and stimulus many months before it happened.

We told you that house prices and the economy were too closely interlinked for the government not to respond, and for them to throw everything up to and including the kitchen sink at the problem.

Well, they did, and it worked.

All that time, the bears said it couldn't happen, wouldn't work, and nothing govt did could effect the markets. They were wrong.

    What utter rot.

It was the bears who were saying "get your wheelbarrows ready lads".

So, YOU accurately forecast stuff, but then say WE told you.

Any proof of this stuff, you, or "we" told us?

Makes me wonder....you would be an absolute genius to get all this right, and a very rich man. Like turnbal says, instead of writing the columns, you are just commenting on them.

You are everywhere! Yet, this is what you get wherever you go.

Graham, as mentioned, I only post here and on GHPC. And I only get this nonsense from some very bitter and dissilusioned bears, half of whom only joined here from hpc for the purpose of trolling me. Whatever floats their boat, it only helps drive debate on this board and away from hpc.:D

The Times comments were not me. Very cleverly done, and (mostly) my sentiments right enough, but not me.

They used a lot of comments I have made over here though, so it was someone that reads this board. They also made the mistake of using language I never would. Strangely, the comments went up several days after the Times article was published.... but only a nanosecond before someone started a thread about it on hpc...

    The trolls were banned.

I'm using HPC to read stuff. There are still bulls posting. Just not the annoying ones starting 20 threads a day saying house prices are up up up.

    Et voila.

House prices up, bulls get banned. The next step up will see the current crop of bulls banned too from that paranoid cesspit.

  • I like Hamish, he brings a bit of equality to the forum.

Anyone who pokes fun at him for posting alot of articles must not have been a member last year! This place was like a ghetto, every single piece of doom and gloom that could be found on the net posted and regular snidey remarks and attacks on Chucky & Dan.

People genuinely happy that others were losing jobs, homes, businesses going under etc because it meant they may eventually be able to get a house. Even then I don't think it was all to do with houses, I think alot of posters just took delight in others misery.

Even when I was a FTB I would never have wished that on anyone, wanting my own property made me want to do more, go that extra mile in my job to get ahead etc.

    Yes, actually.

It's a done deal. They will print. They will pump money into the credit markets. Banks will start lending again. Prices will rise. Debt will be inflated away.

The only questions are how long it will take, how long it will take to get money into the system, how much will they fall in the meantime, and how quickly they will go up once the recovery starts.

People look at the last crash for guidance and think it'll be a couple of years, but interest rates were much higher back then, so I don't buy it.

I reckon the recovery will be far quicker than most people on here think.

    Or this one....

By the time you exclude the stupidly high 40%+ declines in new builds and well dodgy areas like midlands, NI and welsh valleys.......

The majority of the UK will see declines of 15% to 20%.

Or this one.... Well before QE was announced or even much discussed.

The government can, and will, in the worst case fix this problem through 3 possible solutions.

    1) Quantitative Easing, print money, use it to re-supply the credit markets, and/or buy distressed assets therefore rebuilding bank asset sheets.
    2) Government backed securities, eliminate the risk to funders of mortgage backed securities through govt guarantees.
    3) Govt backed business lending, again, guaranteed by the state, low risk for capital providers.

    Which brings us back to.....
Makes me wonder....you would be an absolute genius to get all this right, and a very rich man.

    Not at all.

Just obviously brighter than the average bear....:D

And cartainly not rich... but comfortable enough.

i am afraid i dont drink...can you show me the one where you predicted it all......please show me the one please...oh please
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
