i been reading a wedding directory today and one of the ideas was rather than have wedding favours for all the guests then doing something like a love themed quiz and someone winning a crate of champagne or an ipod, this is for an icebreaker.
what does everyone think?
i am swithering on wether to do favours or not and i like this idea. we already have best mans speech bet envelopes from paddy power for the tables so could use these instead of a quiz. i just really dont know what to do.

It's not my cup of tea as I am more traditional but totally up to you.0

It sounds like Sale of the Century meets Jeremy Kyle, to be honest.0

I wasn't going to do favours, but Confetti.co.uk is doing a sale, so got a little candle for each guest, at half price £20 for 30 and got little organza bags from a closing down sale at a local shop reduced from £1 to 20p each! So its possible to do favours at reasonable cost!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

A wedding we went to a few weeks back did something similar.
They had a pic of the bride & groom (looking rather coy at each other) with speech bubbles and every table was given a copy and had to come up with a "what are they saying" the winning table(chosen by the bride and groom - for funniest answer) won a tray of shots and a free drink at the bar, all pics were then put on the bar for everyone to look at.
It was really, really good and got everyone chatting and laughing. They did this instead of favours!
I, on the other hand am having favours but might steal this idea for myself as it was enjoyed by all.0 -

That's a really good idea lol!!
We're not having favours because we're not having a sit down meal now.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
That idea could cost you a lot more than favours. I've managed to cost 70 favours at around £15-£20 so its entirely up to you what you do but its not going to be cheap x0

We're having a glass jar with sweeties in on each table so guests can help themselves. Idea shamelessly stolen from our friend's wedding but it turned out to be a lot of fun and the guests really enjoyed it. Plus after the wedding we will have all the storage jars we'll ever need for the kitchen! I've even managed to find a website to source vegan sweeities, for 2 of the guests.0

Hi there, great idea! We are having mini JAck Daniels for the men, angel mobile charms for the women and instread of a first dance there will be scratchcards taped under everyone's seats and the dj will announce a table at a time to get theirs and scratch them, hopefully someone will win something!!
I also have bags made up for the kids with toys and crayons and sweets in!
My MIL2b is providing all the favours otherwise I don't think we would have gone as far with them!
We are also going to have table triva but haven't decided whether to get boxes of questions or the little fortune teller ones!

I went to a wedding where they did a quiz on the bride and groom, each table did 1 or 2 entries between them. It worked really well and was alot of fun.0
