Accord Mortgages debt

Hi There,
I was in bad car accident a few years ago and had house taken away due to inadequate protection. Accord sold and there was a shortfall of £6K, I have paid back £1.5K and continue to pay.
£2K of this money was where they paid for the lease on th flat to be up dated and they charged me for this, I am I responsible for this? Is there anyway I can get out of paying it?
Help all you MSE experts, shall I send a CCA or possibly even better a SAR?
Regards

It could be argued that the flat would not have sold if the lease was not updated, because nobody would lend on it. If that is the case, then they have done you a favour.
