Hello :hello:
I am thinking about using a mobile hairdresser to reduce costs, does anyone know how much mobiles tend to charge?
Thanks

Varies, but I had full head highlights and a cut and blow dry this week for £37 - this would normally cost me £110 at the same salon as the mobile trained at.0

mine charges £8 for a wet cut and £15 for a cut and blow dry - I have the wet cut
my high street hairdresser used to charge £26 for a cut and blow dry and wouldn't do a wet cut0 -
Mine charges £9 for a wet cut. £51 for lowlights and a cut which is much cheaper than my local hairdresser but more expensive than my previous mobile hairdresser.
I'm looking out for a new mobile hairdresser as I'm a bit bored with my hairdresser and she does an ok cut but it's looked better in the past. I HATE having to change hairdressers, I feel so guilty. Is it just me?!0 -
Prices charged by mobile hairdressers may depend on your area. I live in the south east and mine charges £12.50 for a wet cut and £42.00 for highlights and wet cut.fitzroy0

I live near coventry and my hairdresser in the salon charges about £68 for a colour and bleach with a cut and blow dry. I recently tried a mobile hairdresser who did the same and charged me £45. Big difference!0

It is worth shopping around. My mobile hairdresser, who I've had for years, has gradually put up her prices to the point that I decided to ask around.
I ended up going to a new salon that had just opened up near me, because they had a half price offer on. The girl did a brilliant job of my highlights, much better than my usual hairdresser, and for less money (which isn't surprising as it was a half price offer).
She was so good that I decided to go back, and she gave me a 25% discount for being a returning customer - which ended up being that same as my mobile hairdresser would have charged, and again she did a much better job.
I'd still like to use the mobile hairdresser for when I'm not well and just need a wash and blow dry..... but I haven't got the cheek, so now my neighbour does it for me when I can't manageI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Cool, I live in Devon too so hopefully it will be the same.
Thanks for everyone's replies. I thought going from £30 to £33 in salons was a bit steep for a cut and dry, even when I was earning!Ciggie free 2am 21/09/06. Debt free 25/06/09.'It was such a lovely day I thought 'it's a pity to get up'' W. Somerset Maugham.0
