40GB (5.400rpm) Hard Drive
14.1" WXGA (1280x800) LCD Panel
24xCDRW/8x DVD Combo Drive
Internal 56K v.92 Capable Fax Modem
4 Cell 29Whr Primary Battery
£298 inc vat and delivery
As you can see it no longer comes with wireless or a dvd burner but there is a slightly faster processor at 1.6Ghz. A good bargain in my opinion and these are really great laptops, I got one a couple of weeks ago (but not for that price).

It's a middle-of-the-road laptop but at a good price. I recently set one up (with the DVD burner and wifi) for someone and thought it good value for money. Get the 6 cell battery. Get a memory upgrade to at least 512Mb though, from someone cheaper than Dell. Search for the recent Dell 1300 thread for lots more info.0

Don't think this compares that favourably with some of the offers dell had had on the Inspiron 1300's in recent weeks [offers now expired but might come around again in time]..
I got the laptop with:
- slightly slower processor (1.50GHz as opposed to 1.60GHz)
- 15.4" screen (well worth getting and whilst once you've got the laptop you can upgrade other things easily/cheaply this doesn't apply to the screen)
- DVD rewriter (higher spec. than the current offer)
- 512Mb RAM
- Wireless
for £339.08 inc VAT/delivery.
This one looks pretty good value at £349 (once you have dropped the support down to "no service upgrade included"):

but again has the smaller screen - £384.25 with the bigger screen!
But does include the DVD burner and wireless.0 -
thanks very muchI owe £3233 @ 0%0

Keep an eye on DMX dimension.
He watches all the offers and keeps his site upto date on all of them.
Always worth a click on a Thursday0 -
If you use Quidco, go through them for further discount, if you don't, go through this guys site so he can get the affiliate money (he does do all the work after all).
I am in no way associated to the site, but I have found it very useful.0
