Arrears

My ex has had a DEO placed on his wages. As he hadn't paid any maintenance, he has some arrears, which amounts to just under £1000.
He had phoned me and told that he paid off the arrears, so I had a look at the payment schedule and the amount he has paid is more than the actual arrears.
Phoned the csa and they told me he had paid a substantial amount, but didn't want to tell me how much as it had just went on the system, and she didn't like to say incase I didn't get it all:huh:(when i told her the amount my ex told me he'd paid, she said it was slightly more than that) and now he would just have to pay his regular payments.
Why would I not get it all?
From what I can make out he has paid £200 more than what his arrears are, so do they keep the £200, and just pay his weekly maintenance out of that until it's gone then he starts paying again?

If you have been in receipt of benefits for a period of time througout the life of the case then a portion of the arrears may be owed to the sec. of state and not yourself. if he made the payment by card it will be about 10 days later it should be out to you.Comp Wins 2011 : Cant wait to start listing everything:j:j:j0

I've not been on benefits apart from tax credits, which doesn't affect payments I don't think.0

In which case all money paid in by him will go to you - if he has overpaid it will carry forward and be taken off his regular maintenance and so the next amount will be less.0

Great, thanks.
So i'll get it all, and he just won't pay for a few weeks as he'll have already paid it?0
