How many of you live from pay check to pay check?

Just curious really:confused: , With me it has always been this way from when I started working at 17, I have simply never earned enough to save for a rainy day, should an emergency pop up I'd have to get a credit card, loan or something and worry about the consequences later, should an emergency pop up now I am royally screwed as can't get credit, so god forbid our car doesn't pack in or something or I will be the newest addition to the unemployment line.

  • i used to, but now im sorted mainly thanks to an inheritance, but in all honesty I would rather have a few more years of livng paycheck to paycheck and have my granddad alive for a couple more years. i still live paycheck to paycheck as we put away alot of money a month into various pots for the future but still live off the bare minimum and have cut our outgoings such as watter, g&e, etc through the help of this site.

At the minute for me, OH and i definatly live paycheck to paycheck. We put as much as we can towards our debts at the minute and then will hopefully be able to start saving! We are lucky enough that we are still young so have learnt from our mistakes fairly early, and have been able to move in with OHs parents to save some money.

yep maxed out on cc to pay for car repairs and council tax as do not earn enough to pay bills now debt on top - difficult to find a second job as shift worker on a rolling shift pattern even if there were jobs out there. have even applied to deliver local free paper for under £4 a week as that would be 4 pound per week less I would need from main wages that can go towards debt etc. But even they have a waiting list.

In desperate need of new shoes as now have holes in but cannot afford them let alone repairs. But heho I can only do what I can do and the household bills are being paid as are the debts, nothing left to cut down on and not only one in this situation - I have a job, my heatlh and I will survive.
I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.
