in every department?? in every nhs hospital/carehome/hospice/etc?? in all parts of the country??

where I live (south.east) the use of agency staff has dropped but has by no means ended. I don't do agency work anymore but have freinds that do, I asked one and she has heard nothing about this.
    Are you sure of this??
    thanks

Thats a different issue though really isn't it? This situation is just one of many problems with the way the NHS is run.

I hope this is correct and stops private agencies from making megabucks in profit from the NHS. Bloodsucking leeches.

To be fair though, the NHS made a rod for their own back, and they were the ones writing the cheques. Some people went to agencies specifically because of the fantastic rates of pay.

I totally agree that this leak of money desperately needs to be plugged up permanently. If the agencies can't get contracts then the temporary staff will have to go to Bank and the NHS might have a bit of a chance of controlling costs. I totally agree with the statement elsewhere that the NHS pishes money up a wall as I too have seen it first hand.
