Chair Covers

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to get some thoughts from you. We had our quote come through from the wedding venue we are thinking of having our reception at. (We are having a Church Wedding)

In true MSE style we are having BBQ as it gives everyone variety and cuts the cost dramatically. However the quote they sent me includes Chair covers at £4.25each + Sashes at £1.75 each!!
Thats nearly £600 on Chair covers More expensive than the Champagne reception!!!

Am I overeacting or is that a normal price?

I was quoted £3.95 and £4 for covers and sashes.

The hotel we are getting married in supply the covers so we only have to £1 per sash!

  • I've been quoted £3.85 per chair ( sash included ) and I thought that was expensive. I'm on a mission now to find them cheaper!!
  • our venue has quoted £4.50 a chair!!!
which i think is stupidly expensive, going to see if we can find cheaper and if the hotel will let us do that instead

i think we need them as the chairs are horrible lol

  • Have you looked on ebay? There are some classified adverts on there which seem cheaper to hire than you were quoted (didn't look v closely as I was looking to buy sashes) - what are the chairs in the venue like? Do they really need covers?

Crikey!!! and I thought the £1.50 the venue was charging us was steep!:rotfl:
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • We are paying £2 a chair and thats including the sash, she is also setting them up for us. Bit of a bargin I thought. She would also do them a bit cheaper if we was having over 100 chairs.
