Visa Electron is crap...so many places I have tried to use it i get that snearing suspicious "Oh we don't accept those"...and they look at me like I am some sort of illegal immigrant who buys food with government vouchers.

Halifax will shortly be introducing charges for sneezing in branch soon, i was charged £12.99 for picking my nose at the counter last Tuesday, though apparently those with a 'proper' Visa card can pick their noses free of charge.

    Some people.

not every branch adopt this - although it is supposed to be the new way

the drop branch is supposed to be new machines that credit your account there and then - not every branch has them as yet

I'd never trust cash to a drop box...
no proof you put it there, no proof it was there (when a cashier decides to be naughty - which happens of course).
Unless they have people doing it in pairs or something, no sodding way would I put money in a letterbox like that... cheques maybe, but not cash.

Vote with your feet. Plenty of other banks that would love to have you.

Yer, i dont trust drop boxes.

Nationwide have a good idea they have ATM's with cash counters and cheque scaners built in

The drop box is just for cheques. You use an ATM deposit if you need to put cash in. It's still quicker than standing in line wasting lunchtime.

I actually try my best to never visit the branch. It's a bit better now there are bike racks behind the place. I recently went to find they have refurbished it and now it looks like a cafe where no one can sit down. Didn't offer me a coffee though.

the staff tend to hate these new lay outs and stupid stools - they don't think about DSE then , and the removal of reception desks replaced with welcome pods

coffee machine has probably been put someone where stupid upstairs
