Dresses from China are a bargain but make sure the bulk of the money you pay is for the item and not the postage.
Well said Sal, that's why it is proabbly better to buy direct from them, isn't it? That's exactly what I thought, but then I'm in 2 minds if to bother with buying direct because you wouldn't be protected through paypal

Milly (and Landy too I think) both take payments via paypal as well as the usual credit card.0

They do take paypal because they sent me an invoice for when I was ready to buy, but never did because I found one somewhere else which I liked better, Tiger xxMarried the most amazing man 05/12/09 and it was the best day ever, I'm a Mrs, he he!!:jWins 2009: Peroni Alessi bowl woohoo, 1 in 10 wins DVD from Maltesers, Avon lippy!!!Freebies-Bold Gel, CoffeePinecone Research - £9Mystery Shopping - £150

Milly have been back in touch twice, to ask if the price was ok etc. I emailed them back to ask if they could do the dress in silk dupion (cos that's what it's actually made of) the reply said yes at the same price
I need to take the plunge but it's wayyy too early:heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -
Thing to remember also is if you think a cheaper dress is cost effective and then have to fork out for alterations for length or sides, this will bump up the price. A client of mine has just bought her "bargain" dresses from BHS for £65 but, because they didn't have the sizes, she bought what there was and thought of alterations. When you have to start taking up hems, taking in sides and lifting shoulder straps, these costs add up. her £65 dress turned into a £100 dress after alterations of which I could have made a much better job had she come to me in the first place for slightly less money!!
Sometimes cheap dresses don't stay cheap once alterations have been added. Just a thought. :beer:0 -

When do you get married? Don't forget things like Chinese New Year in January (at least 2 weeks shut-down)....0 -
Has anyone ever got done for taxes on these dresses when they land in the UK, or have they always been ok?0
