I absolutely love the Aeropress and would recommend it to anyone.
Kadeeae, that looks great & so easy to use too. Was surprised how much coffee was used in the video but I'm presuming it would be the same for a cafetiere?? Read the reviews & all very positive so something to think about. Bit more expensive than I wanted to pay but I could always put it on my Christmas list!!

Thanks for that, Jojo. I actually love going to IkeaDon't go very often as it's not that near to us, but I must be overdue a visit so will get myself there & have a look. Presume it will be in the food & drink shop?? Can't think where else it would be anyway!!

I bought some ground coffee yesterday in Sainsburys. It is Fairtrade and their value brand and only £1.25 for 227 g. I haven't tried it yet but if it as good as their value teabags it will be fine.:hello: N:hello:A :hello:N :hello:A :hello:M :hello:A :hello:G :hello:S :hello:0

I used to like the Rombouts individual coffee filters as well, but stopped having them because I couldn't justify all the plastic waste they generate. I think you'll get on great with a cafetiere which does all the filtering for you. Filter coffee is already ground. We've tried all sorts of fancy ones but always seem to go back to the Co-op own brand filter coffees as they are very good quality for the cost and they are all fairtrade. The Percol coffees are good too & you can sometimes get 3 for 2s. Also, you can usually buy spare parts for cafetieres so if something needs replacing, you can just get that bit instead of buying a whole new one. For instance, they are often standard sizes & you can get a replacement glass if that smashes and also the metal filter gauze if it starts wearing out & you're getting lots of coffee grounds in your drink.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

I am not a coffee expert, but spotted this and though of this thread...

Looks like it may suit your needs and cheaper than the £30 one posted earlier.0 -
Thanks again, folks.
I'm going shopping today so will have a look at the different coffees available.
I'm probably going to buy the cheapie cafetiere from Asda but I think that 'individual mug' looks great Slinky-Malinky, could get that as well & use it when visiting relatives (as I usually do take my own coffee as they never seem to have decaff )
