my sister move to another part of the country 18 months ago to get away from an abusive ex partner. She received a letter today from Lowells saying someone has given them her new address and asking her to pay 2 phones bills from 3 mobile a total of £1200. My sister did have 1 mobile contract and her ex had the other, as he wouldnt allow her a bank account, her wages went into his and she thought the phone bills were being paid off.
she thinks the last payment to these was over 6 years ago but cant be sure so I have told her not to make contact at all and we can send a letter to them.
As she is unsure what the last date was should i send a CCA request or Statute barred letter as she doesnt remember signing for his phone only hers which she is prepared to pay for.
