I'm not sure what they can do in a DRO, but in BR if you do not co-operate with the OR your discharge could be suspended, which is far worse than a BRU/O.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

The OR refuses to interview me over the phone, and is insisting I attend a face to face interview.
I know some people only get a phone interview, is there any way I could push for that?? Ill go to pieces in person........I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.Mae West

There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -
it may be better in person, at least they will see that you are genuine and you will be able to see their body language etc. I can't offer you any other advice sorry wish I could, its a horrible situation to be in but at least if you meet with the or it will be sorted!!Bankrupt 10.50hrs 27th August 2009. Big fan of this forum because people are so helpful.0

Maybe if you feel that strongly you could look to get a doctor's certificate that may go some way in supporting why you would be better off over the phone?
Has the OR indicated why they are insisting on F2F interview? I think I read somewhere that they often request this when the matters aren't straightforward (?)There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -

Certain ORs seem to insist on a F2F interview, even the more simple Brs.
I know that Liverpool is one of them as Philnicandamy had a F2F
Hopefully he'll post in reply and tell you how it all went well.
It really isn't that much worse than a phone interview and it's always best to co-operate with the OR, if you can.
If you can't cope with it then take Dolls advice and get a doctors cert. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Have just sent an email to the DRO unit, basically explaining the amount of stress that their "little bombshell", has put me under, and that I would prefer a telephone interview.I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.Mae West

If your discharge is suspended you remain bankrupt until you do co-operate, there are people on the IS register who have been BR for years.
A BRU/O only puts restrictions on you such as not being able to be a company director, local councillor, IP, etc., but you are still discharged.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

To be honest, alot of people find the F2F interview much better once they're there. There's less chance of being misunderstood and you have the opportunity to explain yourself properly.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
