Nationwide additional borrowing

I am hoping somebody will be able to help with the following:

I currently have a mortgage with Nationwide and luckily on their SVR of 2.5%. I am looking at moving in a few months and would be looking at a little additional borrowing for that larger house.

Would I be able to take my existing mortgage with me (hopefully then still paying 2.5%) and then pay a fixed rate just on my additional borrowing, which will obviously be larger that the 2.5.

Any answers would be greatfully received.

Regards

I am currently on Nationwide's SVR (2.5%) and also in the process of moving. I was able to port over this deal and take the extra borrowing at another rate (fixed or tracker are there current options)

You have to remember that your LTV amount is the total borrowing (new bit + old) against the price of the new house, then you can look at the rates (for the new borrowing) in that LTV bracket.

You just need to check with Nationwide that your current SVR deal is portable, and as mine was I am sure yours will be to!!
