Hi all,
First can I just say how happy I am to find this site, I dont feel quite so alone now and have already picked up some great tips: recipes, slow cooker, breadmaker....
Anyway, here is my sorry tale. I had been on a DMP with cccs which was going well. However, i became pegnant with my second child (now 5 months old). I stupidly took out 3 payday loans and used the money to buy necessary stuff for my baby. Anyway, as is ofte the case I found I was unable to pay these back and was rolling them over month after month, and paying 300.00 for the privilige. This was leaving me really short and i knew something had to be done about it. I plucked up the courage to tell the ccs about the situation and they have now closed my plan.
I am continuing to pay my creditors by standing order and am in the process of trying to negotiate with the payday loan companies. This morning I posted an offer of pro rata payment, copy of my soa and a list of my other creditors and balances. (These were sent to me by cccs who advised I need to manage my own DMP). I have set up 2 standing orders to 2 of the payday loan companies for 5.00 a month(this is the amount i am paying the other creditors) but have been unable to send payment to the third (quick quid) who wot give me their account details.
Basically i just wondered what happens now. Im sure they wont accept my offer. Also, is anyone else managing their own plan, how do i keep track of payments and balances as I will no longer be receiving monthly statements as I did when with the cccs?
Im feeling really stressed by the situation, I know its my own fault but im so fed up, every day seems to be spent worrying about money and debt, any advice would be greatfully received. Thanks!

Have you thought about trying CAB or Payplan? They might not agree to running a DMP for you if you've had problems with a previous one, but the worst that can happen is they say no.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

I tried payplan, they said all they could do at the moment is to send me some information, which was the same stuff already sent by the cccs. Havnt tried cab though.0

Hi HM, if you had a direct debit through your bank with quick quid and they refuse as a firm to provide details you can contact your bank whom will give you what is called the orginator number and details, these are the details they use to make and collect payments from you. Get those details and set it up while in the meanwhile write them a letter once this is done to inform them what this payment was set-up for. Many firms like this will try and stop people as they tend to prefur a hardline operation, paying them stops this in most cases... *Send recorded post*
NB: Thanks for your PM, I will respond later!

Is there any reason why your childs father cannot support you and the baby?0

Hi,
Thanks for the advice, do you think this is the best way to pay or how about sending a cheque?0 -
Sorry - don't know anything about Payday loans
I manage my own DMP after problems with CCCS - I pay all creditors on 1st month by standing order and keep all my payments/balances on a (very simple cos am not good with them
) spreadsheet
Good luck with everything
