Hi iamana1ias no not trouble with the scales as such just the fact that what the recipes say aren't what is on my scales! just looked and there are 20 little marks between 1+0?
You're really not making this easy! I don't understand what you mean. You have metric and imperial on your scales and metric and imperial in the recipes. Can you post a picture of the scales so we can see what you mean?
Are the 20 marks on the metric (kilo) side? If so, each mark is 50g.
Easiest way if you don't understand your scales is as rachbc said. Weigh the eggs in their shells and then use the same weight of flour, butter and sugar (plus a splash of milk). You only need to note where the needle moves to on the scales and copy it for the others.I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
