Does anyone know of any brand that do organic or natural perfume?
Also, any shops that would stock them - like john lewis or debenhams? I need to smell things first before I can make a decision.
I know you can make some in a couple of weeks but Im just looking for a bit of a treat (not too expensive though)! However, if someone has any good recipies ill give them a try.
Well if anyone can enlighten me I would appreciate some help! Thanks

maybe bodyshop - the oils. or Islamic shops sell the oil - non alcohol perfumes, or perfume parlour - a webshop which do perfumes oils.
i can only think that the oils without alcohol could be an organic product. or if you look up aromatherapy books and magazines they could give combinations of essentials oils (holland&barratt or boots), to make perfumes or atomisers.0 -
Have you tried the solid perfumes from Lush?
They have branches in most big towns and cities, so you should be able to have a sniff in advance....0 -
Thanks for the replies guys.
I tend to stay away from Lush. I make most all of my own products and find that Lush put chemicals, like SLS in soaps and hair products, that having lived without them I find a bit unnecessary. I think Lush are more a 'handmade' company than a natural product one.
Also having looked at a few homemade recipes I think perfume should contain alcohol so oils on their own wouldnt work. Made one a while ago from alcohol and spices and left it to settle for a month. And after all that time waiting it smelt boggin.
I have seen some brands online which are selling for about £60 a bottle(don't rememebr the volume) but theres no opportunity to 'try before you buy' and I was a bit unwilling to spend £60 on something special and then hate it! Ooft so fussy.
I was just looking for some perfume, branded or not, that is available in the shops and doesn't contain any of those nasty chemicals - only the good ones.;)0 -
Hi Bunnie,
The best thing to do is make your own blends, at least that way you get to make it with the natural essences tou like.0 -
Aveda, Kiehl's, Lush-who are apparently are bringing out some new perfumes soon.0

I like some of Lush's products, I am a big fan of their soaps. I used to buy my perfumes from the Perfume shop labeled natural but when I looked at the ingridients they didnt seem to be. I stumbled upon a website for Lvseven Naturals, they sells all natural perfumes which I quite like and they smell natural.0

I saw some on Naturally Thinking website this week, I have just placed my first order with them as I thought their prices were really reasonable. They have 1/2 price natural shampoo (no sls or parabens) for £3 for a 250ml bottle. I ordered some oils and bases for making my own too. I saw the perfume and thought it looked interesting but I don't wear perfume, I just mix some oils in with a base and wear fragrance that way.0

some perfumes here, but pricey, though you can buy a kit of samples for £12 http://www.theremustbeabetterway.co.uk/acatalog/Chemical_Free_Pure_Perfume.html0
