  • Well yes I want a cheapish professional, but hopefully a government type body to help me out. Being in debt does not benefit the government if you have to decalre bankruptcy!
  • £1560 paid off in just 4 days........thats some going.......I wish my debt would come down that quickly!!!
I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true

  • sorry- but I think you are either American as was suggested in an earlier post-the language you are using is not a British way of phrasing things- or copying stuff from a book- hiring an accountant will not get you out of debt-period. It will cost money- most charge 100-200 per hour and if you want the cream of the crop and one of the larger firms like KPMG I know alot of their managers are charged out at 650 per hour for specialist areas. And the word advocate is the US word used for solicitor- none of this makes any sense in any case- sorry to voice this but I am suspicious of where you are coming from on all of this.
now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings

Without meaning to sound too harsh, I doubt whether the government gives a crap if an individual is made bankrupt. If you're in the UK I think you may need a bit of a reality check about your options - read up on the forums, look at what other people are doing and you'll quickly realise that there seldom are any quick fixes for debts - just people with the perspicacity to pay off what they owe.
  • The government do care as they are responsible for part of your debt. I have found a free advisor, thats what I mean who is provided free on the government, call around a few places and you will find one too! I am not looking for a quick fix on my debt, but it will be quicker than most as my wages are very good. So it will be easier to pay off and I have had a payrise in work :) Which I was going to mention.

    How do you figure?

You must provide details of this government funded free advisor. I don't need any advice, but thanks anyway :D
