OS fly trap

Hi

I'd like to make a OS fly trap/killer, mainly for outside tbh, as we have loads.

Searched but couldn't find any details. Any ideas?

Thanks

    Hi,

For use around the patio when eating outdoors etc, my grandma used to use empty jam jars with some fly/wasp sized holes punched through the lid, with a little jam or marmalde watered down inside. The pesky things fly in, get sticky & can't get back out. Bit grim but it did work well.

    Thanks Pink and thanks Dora

I remember the jam jars from when I was small, But I think they are only good for wasps.
The other thread wasn't really relevent I'm afraid, mine are all outside in the garden, well it was a long shot, too many out there to really make a difference anyway.
