just got one of these cheaply and wondered if it's any good or not. were thinking about using it in a hot country when we go backpacking. can't imagine doing it in the UK tho' with the rubbish summer we're having...
it's a 20l Eurohike one .... takes upto 1hr in the sun for 20 degrees and 3hrs for 48 degrees!

Seems a lot of trouble. One of the joys of camping is not to wash for a week :-))0

Not bought one yet - cheapest price I found was about £6. I think it was a Gelert one but no idea how good they are. Good idea if you're in a country where the electrics are often dodgy.0 -
The cheap ones work well, we used to use one all the time when camping, not for showering but to wash hands when they needed it. Even in cloudy weather they gave warm water.0

you know what it's like camping where everyone's come back from their walk/day out and they all want a shower.. the queues, the 20 pences you have to find for a 3min shower.. it's all the bother where it's just not that great when you do use campsite showers.. this one we've got cheaply hasn't been used yet, but when the weather's fine and we've time, then certainly we'll check it out.. unfortuantely, we'd have to bring our cozzies with us tho'0

They work well here in the (Very) south of France but in the UK?
