can I really just do online banking and pay bits off the cards as and when I have some cash in there without waiting for the bill? will it show up? can i pay it in at bank without cc bill?

Well I do it without any problems. Anything between hundreds of pounds or as little as 1p. I set them up as bill payments in my Abbey <spit> account0 -
