Greasypalm - refer a friend?

I'm just about to sign up to greasy palm and noticed there's £2.50 for me if I sign up but also that there's some sort of a £7 if you refer a friend link there.
A couple of questions:
1 - Would I still get the £2.50 if I signed up through refer a friend?
2 - If so, does anybody want to get friendly? PM me and I'll send you my email address.
