Hello
Would like some advice if poss. I am thinking about buying my first home, have been renting for years and thought I would but the money to good use and buy my own. Here's the problem I have bad credit and wanted to know if I could still get a mortgage?
Thanks
Louise

How bad is bad? Have you got copies of your credit files and do you have debts? What % deposit do you have?0

Depends on your definition of bad credit...just a few missed payments, or defaults, or CCJs, or bankruptcy...? Are you on a DMP or IVA?
At least as important, have you got a deposit?
Without no or a small deposit, I'd advise you save hard to make a 15% to 20% deposit, so you get a decent rate on your mortgage. The time that takes will help your past bad credit problems become less of an issue.0 -
OP asked same question in April but didn't bother replying to questions.0
