Mobile Phone contracts?...

Does anyone know if I should just cancel my mobile phone contract with T Mobile? Does the OR authorise a contract, and do T Mobile cancel it anyway? As long as I can arrange a pay as you go (is this subject to credit checks????) cancelling it is another of my lesser problems in all of this!! Changing number etc is just inconvenient and actually a welcome relief from all the hidden costs, VAT and charges they didnt mention when they sold me a plan that includes 700 free minutes (I probably use about 30) and unlimited texts for £20. So far have never had a bill for less than £35....

If you want to keep your contract and it isn't excessive you should have no problem. If you do decide to go PAYG you can always transfer your number.

If you want to get rid of the contract though you can put it into your BR but I would transfer the number first.

You sadly wouldnt be allowed to port your number to another provider IF the contract is still running & included in a debt...you could ask if the number could be ported to PAYG (they "might....but its a very very slim chance depending on how long the contract has left to run..) O2 did the same with me & I included the contract in the BR paperwork...sadly they refused to supply a pac code to transfer my number so it's lost...no matter though easily informed everybody of my new number & been happy with asda mobile now for some number of months..
